Weekly Product Update - 7 Jul 2026

Video editing has landed: swap the garment, keep the shot. Plus: the unified credit system update.

The Fabricant - The #product update

Hello Fashion Pioneer,

Here is what shipped in the platform this week. Two updates we think you will get the most out of.

01

Video Editing: Swap the Garment, Keep the Shot

Edit what is inside a video, not just around it.

Video editing has arrived in the platform, and it goes further than trimming clips. You edit the content of the video itself: swap the garment on a model, replace the background, adjust the lighting, or restyle the scene, simply by describing the change.

For fashion teams, that changes what a single video is worth. When you have a video that works, reuse it across the collection: keep the model, the movement, and the mood, and change only the product. One strong video becomes a template for every style in the line.

Edits run in steps, so you can keep refining until it is right. Open a video in your workspace, tell it what to change, and start reusing the footage you already love.

Editing a video cost 10 credits. We will keep refining the costs as we get a better understanding of the use cases. Please send us feedback if you are testing this tool so we can improve it for you.

Video editing is in beta: results will keep getting sharper as we refine it.

The video editor: the source clip, the prompt, and the edited result with a new background

One prompt, new scene: "replace the background with a rooftop at night". The model and garment stay untouched.

Upload a video as the source, a garment as the reference, and a prompt to switch the items. Add additional guidance for movement.

The Unified Credit System Is Now Live [UPDATE]

One balance for everything you create, images and video alike.

Last week we announced that credits were becoming one unified balance across the whole platform. That change is now live for everyone: the credits in your account work on every tool, with an image costing 1 credit, a 720p video 5 credits, and a 1080p video 8 credits.

If you had video credits, they have converted automatically into the unified balance at 8 credits each, so you keep the same video capacity you had before. Choose 720p whenever you want your credits to stretch further.

One correction to the plan table in last week's issue: the Basic plan ($19/pm) includes 120 credits per month, not the 200 we listed. That is roughly 120 images, or 15 videos in Full HD. Pro (450 credits) and Premium (2,000 credits) were listed correctly.

The Fabricant plans inside the platform: Basic, Pro, Premium and Enterprise with credits per month

One balance across every plan: credits per month on Basic, Pro and Premium.

Jump back in and put these to work.

Have fun creating,

The Fabricant Team
